From Strength to Strength
Across the Autogil and Machine Shop, we have experienced an increase in demand – Our Year-on-Year figures in May for 2017-2018, show a growth of 25%. This was more than originally forecasted and will facilitate investment in different areas of the business such as machines and personnel. We have the capacity to accommodate this and look forward to the year ahead.
Encouraging news followed from this in June, in the form the successful European Tendering Process we went through for Parafix Hungary. We fought off competition from different countries and won the tender for 3 Flat-Bed Die Cutters. This outcome, combined with ongoing demand, puts the company in a healthy position from a forecasting perspective.
Over the years, the precision engineering side of the business has experienced growth and this led to the decision to operate a twin-shift working pattern to be made. This naturally increased capacity and has allowed us to accommodate more demanding lead-times. It was the correct move to make at the time, but with continued increases in demand, it was evident something more was needed.
In June 2018, the acquisition of a new machine was completed through the delivery of a HURCO VM20i. It was something that caused excitement across our factory and especially amongst the machinists. This addition to our current line is more than just allowing our capacity to grow. It is a physical reminder of the commitment we have for providing our customers with quality, consistently. Within the last 12 months, fresh faces have joined the company in different departments. The additions have been made as it was evident that our capacity needed to increase. Recent appointments have ranged from Machine Shop Machinists to Admin and Sales Staff.
As our business continues to grow, we understand our team needs to also.
After 6 months in the making, our new website has been launched with a variety of sections. The previous website had been serving for some years and an update was needed.
It was important to be able to show our new developments and the previous website did not facilitate this.
Our most recent development has been the redesign of our sheeters – The HSC range has been surpassed by HSC2 Sheeters representing many benefits – To find out more, read our post Autogil – Sheeter History – HSC2 Range.

For the past few years, there have been conversations regarding this current facility with a view to make improvements but after certain discussions occurred, a different decision has been made.
The company is now looking to move to a more suitable building over the next few years, with the aim of expanding further.
Growth is expected and if the past few weeks is anything to go by, growth is imminent.
In the light of what has and continues to happen, the vision remains the same – to provide the most effective solutions by having a customer-focused approach as well as drawing from and building upon the experience acquired over the past decades.
